In May we welcomed the residents of the Burier Retirement Home for an afternoon tea and concert.  This afternoon tea and concert have been put on each year since the founding of St. George's with generations of Georgentians enjoying the close relationship we have with our neighbours at Burier.

The famous Mr Ferrari, who is the oldest resident, joined us again for another year! 

Karla Perusquia of Year 13 organised the International Fashion Show, held in May, ably assisted by Aya Baeshean.  Thanks to all the models and the backstage team who made this event such a great success.

The JD Summer Fête, held on a wet and windy Friday, raised 2,846.70 chf. Thanks to all the students, staff and parents who organised and supported this event.  The JD have decided to donate 3,000 chf to "la Cité de Genévrier" which is an organisation for the mentally handicapped.

Year 8y organised a sponsored fun-run through Montreux.  They raised 660 chf.  Well done to 8y and their form teacher Miss Beckett.  Congratulations too, to "Madame" David Chapuis who joined in the fancy dress fun!

In total, the forms this term raised 1,523.80 chf! Well done to everyone!

Now it is time for some news from the Balloon Launch - we have received several tags back from the South of France but one tag came back from Algeria .... 1350 km from here!  It belongs to Josephine Barnsley of the JD who wins first prize!  Prizes have been awarded to Rebeca Leal and Filipa Mendes whose balloons traveled to the South of France.
