With the exceptional weather we have had this term the students have had every opportunity to make full use of the excellent facilities we are privileged to have the use of both on and off site.

The tennis courts have been extensively used by both beginners and team players.  Well done to the junior team who recorded their first victory against Aiglon College and to the mixed doubles team of Erika and Steven, Rani and Nicholas who both reached the quarter finals in the SGIS tournament.

Three teams went to the ADISR beach volleyball tournament in May.  Congratulations to Rani, Radmila, Tiago and Andrew who reached the quarter final stage.

On the school field we have enjoyed rounders, baseball, cricket and football. St. George's organised and hosted the SGIS category 4 boys and girls football tournaments on the synthetic pitch next to the Stade de la Saussaz. Thanks to Mr Jones, Mr Katsaitis and to Andrew for giving up their time to referee the matches.  Well done also to the boys' team who were placed 5th and to the girls' team who came 6th.

In track and field athletics approximately 100 students were able to use the stadium and work towards gaining a star award.  Congratulations to the following who gained a 5* Award:-

In the hot summer months the pool was both enjoyed by student and staff, sometimes just to cool off, but also to improve their water skills. The school swim team who train in the Maladaire pool had a busy term with the Junior SGIS in Gstaad and the ADISR in Villars. An excellent performance brought back 13 medals from many different swimmers. Exceptional performances were given by:

Between them the above group accumulated a total of 4 golds, 17 silvers and 3 bronze medals. St. George's were placed 4th overall at the SGIS event and 2nd at the ADISR meet, with the Minor Boys Team coming first.  A sincere thank you to Mrs. Bosshart who all year has helped with the coaching and management of the team.

At the end of the term the teachers took on the students in rounders and volleyball.  The standard of play in the rounders was outstanding with the senior team victorious, obviously due to the excellent quality of the teaching they have received:-) The staff put on an excellent performance in the volleyball, beating both the girls' and boys' teams.
