Social Services Summer 2002

Several fund-raising activities were held to raise money for our sponsored charities this term.

The traditional Summer Fête held in the Junior Department provided great entertainment for parents and students alike and raised 2,617.10 Chf.

The Non-Uniform Day held just before the exams and the “75 Years of St. George’s” Summer Party raised 731.40 Chf

Finally the sum of 100 Chf was raised from selling refreshments during sports and Inter-House events.

Since December 2001 St. George’s has donated 8,434.70 Chf to its chosen charities namely:

The highlight on the Social Services calendar this term was undoubtedly the Burier Afternoon where 30 residents of the Burier Retirement Home enjoyed a special concert and afternoon tea held in their honour at St. George’s.
