The St. George's annual Prize-Giving and Graduation Ceremony took place on Thursday the 27th of June in the Sports Hall.
Celebrities for a day were
the 15 students graduating on the day, but not to be outshone were the many
others who received prizes for their excellent academic performance or prowess
in the sports arena.
The guest speaker for the occasion was a young Swiss woman, Ms Katia Van
Weel of the Katia Van Weel Foundation. Katia Van Weel's foundation runs schools for girls in Burkina
Faso, Africa. Without her unstinting efforts at fund-raising, education would
not be provided for the young girls of that country.
