75th Anniversary Concerts

Two concerts were held on the nights of the 23rd and 24th of April to mark the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the foundation of St. George's.

The concerts were produced by Head of Music, Mr Peter Onslow and included a performance from St. George's Renaissance Dance Band and a selection of songs such as "Edelweiss", "I know him so well", "Tequila Samba", "O occhi, manza mia", "To a Wild Rose" performed by the Chamber Choir and the St. George's School Choir. Solo Piano performances were given by Alina Arie of Year 12, Izumi and Midori Kurokawa of Year 9 and on flute by Simon Maeder also of Year 9.

As part of the finale each night Mr Peter Onslow treated us to a rendition of his own composition, written to mark the occasion, which was called Psalm 121 "Levavi Oculos".
