In February of the Spring Term we had, for the first time in the history of St. George's, entered the TES French Newsday competition.  Our newspaper, "Tout Schuss" was developed by a group of 16 students ... Judith, Georgina, James, Ernesto, Amy, Chantelle, Lizzy, Chris, Iyabode, Angela, Liz, Nicola, Jenny, Shahrinaz, Rani and Radmilla.  These 16 students, from Year 11, under the experienced and watchful eye of Miss Aminot of the French Department, produced an original and exciting French language newspaper in less than 7 hours!

We were, we admit, slightly stressed by both human and technical problems on the day, but we were all both relieved and delighted to see the splendid, final, all-colour  "Tout Schuss", packaged and ready to be posted to London for adjudication.

As the term progressed, we waited, and waited, and waited for news from London .... then finally - the moment we had all been waiting for ... how had Tout Schuss done in the compeition?

From the possible award levels of Credit, Merit, Commended, Highly Commended or Distinction .... we received a Distinction!!!!

Bravo to all the students and particularly to Miss Aminot for her patience, direction and support.  We are all looking forward to competing again next year!
