Here is a
little flashback of the Spring term events. Indeed, it has been a very
busy
term as usual. Every tutor group succeeded in raising some money through
a great variety
of activities. Some groups did not quite make it to the 150.- frs limit
but it was felt
that they did not need to do so as they set up original ideas. Bake
sales were, once
again all the rage, it is nice to see you eat so much and have such
large appetites, it
shows you are in good health! All in all, we collected more than 2000.-
fs this term.
The money raised will go to the following charities: Amnesty
International, Terre des
Hommes, Les Cartons de Coeur and Anidan. Please refer to the Social
Services notice board by
room 2 to see how the money you raise is spent. Some of this money will
be used to
finance the DVD that we recorded last Wednesday. The school board and
private donations
will cover the rest of the cost.
Thank to everyone who was involved in this recording on Wednesday. If
you want to see 3
student bands, the Uptones, Third Opinion and the Skipping stones, the
Jazz band at the
Jazz festival, the staff band being arrested by the police on the school
roof, 3 stunning
solo performances, the giant SG on the pitch plus personalised comments
from special
guests (surprise), please come and see Mr Chapuis to make an order.
Let's not forget that helping is part of the learning experience !
Next term, on top of all the normal activities, we will organise the
balloon launch, and
try and break the record set 3 years ago when a balloon travelled more
than 1?800
kilometres to Africa!
Thank you to all of you, please control your IOU's and enjoy a
well-deserved break. See
you next term.
