For the first time for many years, the format of a cabaret evening was resurrected for a Spring Concert held in the middle of March. The hall was suitably furnished with small tables decorated with help from Kate Bartlett of the Art Department and Lesley Struba (who helps with Matron duties) and there was not much space left when the eighty plus staff and parents were seated together with the choir of sixty pupils and the Jazz Band. 

Musically, the evening centred on the Jazz Band who performed eleven pieces, all of which were from films or stage shows and which formed the basis of a competition to raise money for school social services charities. 

In addition, the choir performed the well loved 'May it be' from 'Lord of the Rings' and Mozart's 'Laudate Dominum'. The were several solo performances including a stunning performance of Rachmaninov's Prelude in G minor given by Lynn Teo. The evening finished at about 9.30 pm to rapturous applause and we look forward to the annual Music Competition in May.
