The popular lunchtime concert series began on the first day of February with a wide variety of music performed by Thomas Clayton (flute), Eri Ichijo (piano), Megan Stark (voice), Lynn Teo (piano), Midori Kurokawa (piano) and Brad Stark (trombone). The standard of playing was very high and, as pieces performed become more complex, so we more frequently appear to be running out of time! The music played ranged from Beethoven (Moonlight Sonata) to the present day (almost) with 'Just that Minute' for trombone by Christopher Norton. 

The second concert of the term, held on the 22nd of February, featured one or two of the above performers with the addition of Anna Doudoukina (piano), Sophie Jardin (voice), Patrick Scully (voice). Patrick gave us a really entertaining rendition of 'If I were a rich man' from Fiddler on the Roof. Appropriately, in this year of the 350th anniversary of Mozart's birth we heard a performance of 'A Musical Joke' for flute trio.
