Year 5 set off to Chateau d’Oex for a hands-on experience of hot air balloons as part of their writing topic.  They took the Panoramic Express to get a sneak preview of the balloons in the sky.  They were very lucky as the weather was sunny with bright blue sky and no clouds.  The children spent the morning in the Hot Air Balloon Museum learning about the record-breaking trip around the world.  Break time consisted of a challenging sledge ride down the hill before going off to see how the hot air balloons really worked.
