Year 6 Road Awareness

The Year 6's went to the Auditorium Stravinsky for a interactive demonstration on road safety by the police.  They were separated into two groups. The floor was converted into a mini town including a round about, cross roads, slip roads and a simulated accident to teach the children safety and awareness.  Each child was given a bicycle and they went around the street and practiced the rules of the road.  At the end they all participated in a little competition.

The second group discussed road awareness with a policeman and then the two groups swapped.  The children had a fantastic time and returned to school a lot wiser!
