Many thanks to the outgoing members who had debated many ideas and scored some
(if limited!) successes. Their aim throughout the year was to tackle
problems in a concrete fashion e.g. not to discuss uniform changes but to
organise a day when girls wore trousers and then carry out a poll to see whether
the idea was feasible or not - Not!! being the result in this case.
The question of lunch was approached in the same way and a very helpful list of suggestions given to our housekeeper Madame Elsener who has implemented many of their ideas.
Unhappy about the cancellation of the Ski Trips the student council made many comments and suggestions ... (for example why not send seniors over the weekend!!!) which helped influence Mrs Zund's change of decision.
The new members have got off to a similar start with some very good suggestions for the celebrating of our 75th Anniversary, ideas for improving parties, and proposals for the School Year Book (which have already been put into place). They also have on the agenda the whole matter of Field Trips, aims, venues etc. There are likely to be some lively meetings with this second and very enthusiastic council.
