Ski Trip to Morzine, Portes du Soleil, 13-17 March, 2000

St. George’s ventured to a new resort this year for the annual ski trip – Morzine, situated at the heart of the Portes du Soleil. 

 

 

It proved to be the perfect destination. We encountered a range of different snow conditions and a challenging new terrain on which the students could extend their existing skills.  It was a pleasure to witness how so many students grew in confidence during their three days away. 

The trip put into context all the lessons and training we had at Les Mosses.  Our thanks go to Miss Byng for choosing such a first class hotel, Hôtel Club Le Petit Dru, (swimming pool, jacuzzi, great food!) and for making the trip run so smoothly.

It was also very pleasing to see how so many students can conduct themselves with decorum whilst in the company of others.  Instructors, hotel management and other guests all commented on how polite and well mannered our students were.  Well done one and all.

There was only one leaver this term.  Good-bye to Elizabeth Kuye, seen at the very centre of the picture, who is going back to South Africa.  We wish her all the best with her studies.  Keep in touch office@st-georges.ch.
