MAT Update ° Spring Term 2000

Back Next

With numbers increasing over the last few years, it was clear that we needed additional teaching facilities.  In November 1998, the chairman of the School Council, Guy Chessex, set up a committee to investigate options. Following six months of research, it was decided that work should begin on the first part of a major project to improve and extend the music wing and theatre.

The first phase will involve the demolition and rebuilding of the area behind the school hall (i.e. the music wing).  The space provided will be allocated to Music, Art and Technology (M.A.T) and should be completed by September 2000.  At a later stage the second part of the project can be realised, should this be deemed necessary.  The project is of course costly. A big thank you to those parents whose spontaneous generosity after Prize-giving last June gave a head start to the M.A.T. project.

The way we were!!!
