Rocky Monster Show

On Wednesday the 12th of November and Thursday the 13th of November, St. George's hosted its annual School Play.

This year's play was the "Rocky Monster Show", produced and directed by Mr Peter Onslow, Miss Kirsty Hammal and Miss Sonia Eastham.

For those of you not able to join us on the nights of the performance here is a brief recap of the story ...

The Story

Professor Fenton, once the leader of the rock band "The Rocky Fenton Five", is a genetic scientist and naturally, a relation of Baron Frankenstein!

His aim is to recreate people, especially famous pop stars of the past and to this end, he appoints two young scientists (Rebecca and Dan) to assist him with his work.  He is still some way from achieving his aim but a series of events leads to the reanimation of Elsa and Mungo, leftovers from the work of the famous Baron Frankenstein himself.

Inevitably, the professor's work in his castle laboratory causes unrest amongst the village population who, incited by the Preacher, are set to burn down the castle.  The intervention of Inspector Baskerville brings the Professor a reprieve from this.

In an effort to placate the people, the Professor invites them to a wonderful evening's entertainment in the castle. However, his work on recreation is nearing its conclusion and he plans to use the evening to present his "creations" to an unsuspecting village population.

The villagers, initially impressed by the event, turn against the professor and set fire to the castle.  This time there is no escape, but Mrs Danvers, the sinister housekeeper, has a trick or two up her sleeve.
