On the 10th of October, 2 teams from the JD competed in the ADISR Football Competition at Florimont, Geneva. 12 teams took part in total and the effort and enthusiasm on the part of our children were superb.
Our 2nd team, who were much younger than the rest, fought a brave battle but unfortunately came last. However, experience and gracious losing was the order of the day. Despite this they were nevertheless admirable in their show of support for our 1st team who managed to reach the semi-finals. Great tension and excitement in the game for bronze medals as Teddy, our goalkeeper had a nose bleed and Robin who has never played goalie had to step into his place for a few minutes and did a fine job.
Unfortunately, despite all our best efforts, we lost 3-2 and had to be content with 4th place. We had a great time however, and the coaches were very proud of both teams.
