New Arrivals

Congratulations to proud first-time parents, David and Fiona Ward, on the birth of Sophie Anais Ward who was born on the 14th of October 2001. The only question here is will Sophie be an honorary member of her dad's house, Minerva or her mum's house, Atalanta!

Inter House Competitions

The Inter-House competitions took place with the usual good spirit.  This term, Atalanta House made yet another clean sweep of the cross-country, football, badminton and basketball competitions. Nevertheless, judging by the fierce competition in the basketball it is only a matter of time before Atalanta are toppled from their rather large perch.  We look forward to the return of Minerva and Diana next term!

Leavers

At the end of the Autumn term we said good-bye to several staff.  Firstly to  Head of Minerva House, Mrs Caroline Fay, who after many years of dedicated service to the students of Minerva House and St. George's School, decided to return to the UK with her new husband, Mr Roger Fay.  We also said goodbye to Miss Zarina Rauf, teacher of Art, who is returning to the UK to care for her sick mother and to Mrs Lynn Hellier, from the Junior Department who, along with her husband, is being moved to Nestle in Goa. We wish each and every one of our colleagues every happiness and success for the future.  We hope they keep in touch!
