Christmas Party

There is no better way to end a term than with a party! Accordingly, the "House Suppers" took place on Wednesday 12th of December.  After a traditional "English" Christmas Dinner and before the disco started there was just time for perhaps the highlight of the term ... the for-one-night-only Christmas Pantomine ... a stupendous farce "Cinderella at St. George's", written by Miss McHugh and performed at very short notice by the following victims ... oops ... volunteers ...  Nidhi (Cinderella), Andrew (Buttons), Andre (the Prince), Helena (the Matron), Mr Jones and Miss Hickey (Two Horrid Girls!), Mr. Katz and Mr Shaw (Wicked Heads of House) and last but certainly not least Mr Onslow (Fairy Godmother! or should that be Godfather!:-)

Soppy Cinders (Nidhi) writing a letter home ... wishing that this year she will meet the man of her dreams at the  St. George's Christmas Party!

Cinders confides in her best friend Buttons (Andrew) - She wishes that something wonderful might happen at the school disco that night ....
a loud bang .... and Cinders gets a little more than she bargained for ... instead of a fairy godmother ... along comes a pretty out-of-practice
and somewhat dishevelled fairy godfather! .

Your wish is my command!! As if by magic ... her fairy godfather (Mr Onslow) appears and despite having some wand problems sets about granting Cinders' wishes.

The fairy godfather grants Cinders' wish and delivers the Prince (Andre).... but has the prince fallen for one of the horrid girls (Mr Jones!)?

Fear not ... despite his dreadful dancing, the Prince wins Cinders' heart and all's well that ends well!!
The all star cast ... convened in 20 minutes and at no cost -  except perhaps to their reputations!!
Front Row: Wicked Heads of House Mr Katz and Mr Shaw.
Back Row: Horrid Girls - Miss Hickey and Mr Jones, Cinders - Nidhi,
Fairy Godfather - Mr Onslow, the Prince - Andre, Buttons - Andrew
and the Matron - Helena.
